No one deserves to be bullied. No one deserves to be looked down upon. No one deserves to be treated like nobody.
But as much as it hurts to admit it, bullying is still prevalent today – not just in schools, but also at home or at work and even on social media. Bullying is still a problem today, a problem that even the world’s most influential person can never solve. Bullying is still making people suffer today, a suffering that even lasts for a lifetime.
But you know what? All of these don’t matter. What matters is you – no matter who you are, no matter where you are from, no matter what you are.
No one…no one can ever tell you otherwise.
For those who are still suffering from years of bullying, for those who are suffering from bullying today – this is for you.
Here are some great ways to overcome bullying:
Write everything down.
Writing your feelings onto paper is not just done to tell a story. It’s done to release every pain you’ve been holding back for so long, without hurting yourself or someone else. It’s done to release every anger you’ve been holding back for so long, without destroying yourself or someone else. Writing your feelings onto paper is done to express yourself, in the purest of forms and in the most heartwarming way – all by telling a story.
Raise more awareness.
Bullied people are mostly afraid. It came to a point where they are now afraid for their lives, as well as for their loved ones. But you know what? There’s no greater way to help others by speaking up. There’s no greater way to overcome bullying by raising awareness. Because all one needs is someone who will stand up for them. Because all we need is someone who will stand up for us. All we need is someone…just someone who truly understands what we’re going through.
Join local communities.
Local communities do not only provide a myriad of services. Local communities also provide a myriad of support from all kinds of groups who aim to make the world a better place to live in. For those who have been bullied, you can try summer social work internships to gain more knowledge about people and their behaviors. For those who are being bullied, you can try talking to some people working in these kind of internships to better understand what needs to be done.
