who and what
What is LIBERATION 2010?
LIBERATION 2010 is a weekend long spiritual conference designed to empower LGBTQ people friends, family and fans to come out of the closet spiritually. It is created to heal the limiting false beliefs that our orientation is somehow a mistake or an accidental curse…so that we can get on with what we are here to be – powerful and free.

As a result of religious persecution, many of us have separated our spiritual selves from our sexual selves and it’s time we bring these glorious parts of ourselves together and to heal the impacts of homophobia from the inside – out! LIBERATION 2010 was created to help us all do just that!

What is the religious affiliation of LIBERATION 2010?
LIBERATION 2010 is a spiritual conference, not a religious one. We welcome and honor all paths. We will not tell you what to do or how to live your life. We will offer you tools, insights and experiences that help you return to your own unique connection with the Divine – whatever that looks like for you.

Mark Anthony Lord was raised Catholic but had a hard time with a religion that taught him that God rejected him because of his sexual orientation. In his path towards healing his relationship with God (the Divine, Love, Higher Power…use whatever works for you) he discovered Unity and then later Religious Science. He is a student of many paths, incorporating the wisdom gained from all teachings and he brings this depth and width of knowledge to LIBERATION 2010 and its unfoldment.

Who is LIBERATION 2010 for?
EVERYONE! Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Allies, Friends, Family and Fans…this conference is for all of us who have been impacted by phobias related to orientation. Discover what is unique, perfect and brilliant about YOU and answer your call to greatness!
What is the vision for LIBERATION 2010?
The vision is to heal the world of homophobia from the inside – out! It is a conference designed to heal the separation between sexuality and spirituality, reclaim our spirituality and to live boldly from this place; to discover and answer our unique calling to greatness!

Why should I go to LIBERATION 2010?
Because we have all suffered from homophobia, bi-phobia, trans-phobia and any other phobia related to our orientation. Most of us have grown up in a world where it wasn’t OK to be the glory of God that we were born to be and as such, we have hidden our light – sometimes even from ourselves. When you say “yes” to attending LIBERATION 2010 you have set a powerful intention for yourself to abolish the belief that there is something wrong with you (or anyone) and to reveal and live from your greatness! Now, who doesn’t want that? C’mon, join us…you’ll be SO glad you did.
What is homophobia and who does it affect?
We use this word broadly knowing that it also includes bi-phobia and trans-phobia...as well as straight-phobia!  Homophobia is the fear of homosexuals and homosexual behavior, and it affects everyone! Ourselves, our children, our parents, our family members, our friends, our co-workers, our spiritual leaders...you name it, we’re affected by it. The phobia is so pervasive we probably don’t even recognize the effects it has on our health, our emotions, our liberties, our expression, our relationships, our finances, our hopes and dreams. Who would you be if there was no such thing as homophobia? How great would you be? Thank God, your greatness is inside of you and it can never be hurt, harmed or hindered...we’re here to nurture its expression and unfoldment.
What does it mean to “answer the call to greatness”?
Answer the call to greatness means to say “Yes” to living a life that is powerful, free from all shame, guilt, pain, persecution and bigotry. It is a call to live a life of Freedom, Power and Joy; to allow the greatness that already lives with in you to have full expression in every area of your life. To move from mediocrity to excellence, in a glorious way...a way that serves you and humanity! It means to be the best you possible...right here, right NOW!
I’m already out and proud, what’s in it for me?
Congratulations for being a light of love and inclusion everywhere you go!  How would you like to take your pride to the next level? There’s so much work to do, so many people to serve and support in becoming proud and free. If you’re already there, we would love to help you step into a greater level of sharing your light with the world.
What does it mean to be “out”?
It means that you have accepted your orientation and have disclosed it to those around you (friends, family members, co-workers, etc.). It’s a great first step in living a life of freedom. We at LIBERATION know that being out is only the beginning.  There’s often a lot of internal work around deep self-acceptance, love and appreciation still needed.  That’s what we’re here to faciliate.
I’m not “out ” at work, family, church, etc...can I still come to LIBERATION 2010?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage you to attend. You will come to see that what may have seemed like a curse is a unique gift you offer yourself and the world, however great or small you choose to share it. We love and honor you. LIBERATION 2010 is a safe space to be you, to be seen, to be heard and to authentically express yourself with out the fear of persecution or shame. LIBERATION 2010 will offer you a deep clearing and healing so that you may live a more powerful and free life, in whatever way that speaks to you.
What does LGBTQA stand for?
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Ally. No one is left out...you belong!
What is an Ally and is LIBERATION 2010 for allies?
An ally is someone who supports equality, specifically with in the LGBTQ community. This can be a friend, family member or fan of LGBTQ people. And YES, LIBERATION 2010 is for allies. We will have special workshops and experiences  just for the Allies to share their unique commitment and experience of loving and supporting LGBTQ people.  And, if you’re an Ally, we know you’re going to be surprised at how much this conference opens your already generous heart!
