Welcome to the LIBERATION 2010 Volunteer Program. We are looking for a select group of people who share the vision of Liberation and service who want to work with us to co-create this groundbreaking event!
There are numerous ways to serve this event from outreach into communities, research and onsite logistics support, information distribution and, of course, through spiritual practice.
Our Sacred Service teams are:
Production
This team is responsible for assisting our Co-Producer with all logistics pertaining to the staging and production of the program within the ballroom as well as our signature event Cirque Du Liberation. Yes, this is the coveted backstage role! We need at least five eager, enthusiastic folks to serve here.Logistics
Our group of three logistics support experts will support our Producer in an overall capacity. Here you get to be involved with all aspects of the pre-conference work, from providing office support onsite as well as in advance for mailings, distribution of info. And you can be in any city to do the pre-conference work!Ambassador Support
Here two wonderfully organized individuals will support the functions of the Ambassador Core lead as onsite support that ensures that are Ambassadors are given plenty of attention and gratitude! You will also get an opportunity to assist the Ambassador Core Lead with coordination efforts pre and post conference.Registration
Registration is the heart of our event! You are one of the first onsite contacts for our participants and will be the group that welcomes each person and acknowledges the great wonderful step they have taken by attending LIBERATION! We are looking for five outrageously outgoing people to fill these spots!Vendor Support
Two people will assist our thirty vendors as they get setup on Thursday morning and be available to assist them throughout the conference and during breakdown. Any experience with the Meeting Matrix design program would be super but is absolutely not required!Hospitality Team
Do you love to give over the top service and enjoy nurturing people? This group of seven will be responsible for ensuring that our registered participants, VIPs and special guests receive 5 star treatment when they arrive as well as throughout the conference.Speaker Assistants
Our speaker assistants will be assigned to our various keynote as well as workshop speakers and will be there to ensure that the AV is set, that the speaker has whatever supplies are needed, and to escort our speakers to their speaking rooms and remain with them until they are finished.Time requirements for each position will vary but we expect our sacred servers to be available to serve from April 7-11, 2010. There will be a mandatory sacred service team meeting at 7pm on April 7th for all of our incredible service teams.
As a LIBERATION 2010 volunteer you become part of the team that is making it happen! Our volunteers hold the vision of healing the world of homophobia and serve as representatives for the event. Each volunteer is encouraged to be an access point of information and inspiration for anyone interested in joining us at LIBERATION 2010.
Most importantly, as a team we will meet regularly via conference call to connect in spiritual practice and learn about each other and fall more in love with each call. Our intention for this team is to ensure that you have all the tools, love and support you need to create a welcoming space for our attendees and that you personally feel connected and loved.
